Martial Arts goals are achieved in every class

Our Martial Art classes are about learning and improving techniques in every class. Praise is given regularly helping you achieve these small goals. Grading is our larger goal and is achieved every 3-4 months, if you are ready.

Whether you are contemplating a big change, working toward achieving a goal or just trying to get through the day, these quotes should give you a little dose of inspiration and motivation.

Healthy Lifestyle Tip: Mental Toughness

Positive Affirmations Prior to Exercise

Positive thoughts will increase your energy level. Telling yourself that you are out of shape and not as strong or flexible as you used to be can rob you of necessary energy. Prior to exercise, think about your unique skills and abilities. Positive thoughts create enthusiasm and excitement.

Visualise Success

One of the strategies that athletes use is visualising success before they begin competing. You can apply this same principle to your own workouts.

Replace Negative Thoughts with Positive Thoughts

The tendency is to focus on weaknesses and failures and beat yourself up for not being in better shape. Mental toughness involves consciously avoiding negative thoughts about failure during exercise, and replacing those thoughts with positive ones.

The next time you work out, reward yourself with the positive thought that you are doing it! You might notice that you are a bit stronger.
